Nicola Sturgeon has suggested that the UK could impose further international travel restrictions in the next few days to try and halt the spread of the new Omicron covid variant.The Scottish First Minister suggested that there could be more limits on travel after Boris Johnson announced on Saturday that all international arrivals to the UK will have to submit more expensive PCR tests and self-isolate for two days.Travellers from six African countries currently red-listed by the UK must enter into hotel quarantine for a period of at least 10 days.
The restrictions will come into place across the four nations and Sturgeon hinted that ministers are considering further measures.
