Nine more coronavirus patients have died at Royal Bolton Hospital, NHS England announced this afternoon. It is the largest daily increase in the number of fatalities at the hospital so far, taking to 27 the total number of people to die at the Royal Bolton after testing positive for Covid-19.

Although the nine additional deaths were all announced today, the patients did not all die in the last 24 hours as there is often a delay in the reporting of cases.

NHS England statistics show that six patients died at the hospital on Friday, three more on Saturday and four yesterday (Sunday), but some of these numbers may increase as further cases are reported in the coming days.
