Big Brother is really taking a hit due to coronavirus. In Germany, the reality show came under fire for not telling the members about COVID-19.
And now Big Brother Canada has had to pull production and cut the eighth season short. The network confirmed that there would be no winner crowned this year.
Instead, the prize money of $100,000 will be donated to charities responding to COVID-19 via canadahelps.org. The emotional moment saw the 12 remaining housemates say a tearful goodbye to one another as they packed up and returned to the real world.
The housemates were officially sent home on the 24 March, with the episode airing during the week. As a result of recent COVID-19 government mandates, effective today #BBCAN8 has ended production.
