One in three of adults in the whole UK has now been vaccinated against Covid-19, the Health Secretary has said. Speaking on BBC One's Andrew Marr Show, Matt Hancock said they will be offering a vaccine to all people over 50 and to the top nine priority groups by 15 April, and all adult groups by the end of July.
He said that will have an impact on how quickly it will allow for a return to normal life. Mr Hancock said he is "absolutely delighted" the vaccine roll-out is going so well and that it works effectively against Covid-19, including the variant first detected in Kent which is currently the main source of infection in the UK.
