Researchers from Göttingen University in Germany claim a huge proportion of infected people are flying under the radar. Dr Christian Bommer and Professor Sebastian Vollmer used estimates of virus mortality and time until death from a recent study published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases in an attempt to verify the accuracy of official case records.
