Coronavirus: Elliott says surgeries can’t be postponed again despite increasing COVID-19 cases

Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said Friday that lockdowns had to be introduced in several regions across the province to prevent increasing COVID-19 cases from overburdening the health-care systems, adding that surgeries and procedures that were postponed in the first wave can’t be postponed again because, in many cases, they are life-saving.
