It found mention in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech of 24 March announcing an interim closure of the economy to fight the covid-19 pandemic.
For those stuck at home, the phrase had personal resonance, though it was to be a national project, the contours of which have been getting clearer in the weeks since.
