Narendra Damodardas Modi (born 17 September 1950) is an Indian politician serving as the 14th and current Prime Minister of India since 2014. He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and is the Member of Parliament for Varanasi. He is the first prime minister outside of the Indian National Congress to win two consecutive terms with a full majority and the second to complete five years in office after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
As Modi enters the second year of NDA-2, covid is posing the biggest challenge yet Some moments are so euphoric that we fail to hear and understand the ominous sounds hidden behind them.
Such was the afternoon of 25 February. US President Donald Trump was there at Hyderabad House in New Delhi for the lunch hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Trump may have not eaten much that day, but he had a long chat with Modi. Trump’s wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner were also there at the table.
Away from the confines of diplomacy, this family chat went on for so long that a tea party organized by the US ambassador drew near.
