ORLANDO, Fla. – Two 17-year-old teenagers from Orlando are impacting communities across the world with their radio station.
The teens are using the platform to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts. “A lot of like my friends and family say: we’re not really the typical 17-year-olds and basically video games never really clicked,” Dylan Carollo, the Chief Executive Officer of D-100 radio said.
His passion for music began when he was 11 alongside a friend, Nikolai Eggleton. “Instead of being on the TV, we would come over we’d work on the radio,” Eggleton said.
The Orlando teens first explored their passion through a podcast. “Originally it was just a hobby we thought this is something that really no other kids are doing,” Carollo said.
