MONTGOMERY COUNTY - A Pennsylvania man is facing more than 250 charges of possessing child sexual abuse materials.Edward Elvin, 65, was arrested Thursday after officials say they received a tip from Apple last month.

The tech company alerted detectives that the 65-year-old may have child sexual abuse materials on his device, according to the DA's office.After tracing the IP address, detectives seized Elvin's phone during a search of his home in Montgomery County.Hundreds of images containing child sexual abuse were allegedly found on his phone.

PHILADELPHIA - With the heat comes car issues and a lot of construction that can do some real damage to your tires and wheels.Several motorists reach out to FOX 29 recently about damage to their car from a project on I-95 near Woodhaven and Academy roads.Kevin Millevoi, from Millevoi’s Tire and Automotive, says he gets about three cars a day with tire and wheel damage from roads in the area."More flat tires this year than I think any other year in the past," Millevio said. "The potholes are bigger and deeper and there are more of them out there."The sound of summer for many motorists is a clunk that means a trip to the mechanic.Samir Whiting is looking at a $380 repair after he said his tire went flat on I-95."Due to the construction on I-95 it’s causing a lot of tire damage to a lot of the citizens of Philadelphia," Whiting said.He said several people were in the same shop this morning with damage to their cars."Some of the other tires they were cars, I have an SUV," Whiting said.  "My tire wasn’t as bad theirs, but it could have been worse if I rode on it a little longer."MORE LOCAL HEADLINESMillevoi said the salt wears away at the roads, and you can mess your car up pretty quickly driving on an uneven highway."They get that drop in the asphalt 2-3 inches you really gotta be careful going over that," Millevoi said.

new survey, researchers found that more than half of respondents have blocked at least one family member on Facebook, with 54.8% of survey users admitting to blocking the person on the social media platform.The survey, conducted by Time2play earlier this month, asked over 2,000 users of Facebook and Instagram in the United States if and why they blocked a family member on social media. According to the results, 46.4% of respondents cited the posting of "hateful, toxic or problematic things" as the top reason for blocking the person. PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are searching for a man who they say stabbed another person when a fight aboard a SEPTA train spilled onto the platform Wednesday night. A SEPTA spokesperson said the suspect and two younger men, believed to be teenagers, got into a fight on a Broad Street Line train. The fight continued onto the platform a Fairmount Station where police say the suspect stabbed one of the young men with a knife. The victim and the other young man fled the station, according to police.

Toronto Police Service (TPS) says members of the force who were placed on unpaid leave for failing to comply with mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement will return to duty late this month.In a statement emailed to Global News on Wednesday, TPS Const. Alex Li said the service “continues to ensure that our workplaces remain safe, which includes continued COVID-19 measures as appropriate.”Li said the force’s decision to rescind its COVID-19 mandatory vaccination requirement was “made in response to the current public health and occupational health context of the pandemic and the unique nature of its work and workplaces.” More than 200 Toronto police members placed on unpaid leave as vaccine mandate takes effect  The force said 99 per cent of its members are fully vaccinated and new hires are “required to be fully vaccinated.”Li said members who are currently on unpaid absence will “return to duty on June 21, 2022.”“Officers will be deployed as operationally required by the Service and civilian members will return to their original roles,” the email reads.In November 2021, the force said 205 members, 117 uniform and 88 civilian, were placed on unpaid leave for either not being vaccinated, or not disclosing their vaccination status.According to Li, as of Wednesday, 101 people will be returning to duty.
