Governor Wolf announces a new plan to reopen PA and its businesses PHILADELPHIA - Pennsylvania on Friday reached 32,284 confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

The death toll climbed to 1,112. There was a siginificant spike in recorded deaths Sunday due to COVID-19 as Dr. Levine explains that the data is compiled from several different sources.

Not all of the new deaths reported happened overnight or in the last 24 hours, but rather are newly accounted due to more information. "The increase in deaths is a culmination of that data-validating effort," she said in a press conference Sunday afternoon.
