Manchester Evening News to say they have been unable to book a test near to their homes and have have instead been offered appointments at testing centres hours away.
University of Manchester student Robbie Beale said he cycled 13 miles and visited three different testing centres before eventually managing to get a test.
Another Mancunian was even told the closest facility to him was in Llandudno, Wales. Many have been unable to book a test at all, despite living in areas such Bolton and Oldham, which have among the highest infection rates in the country.
It appears problems with the booking system are continuing today (Wednesday).One reader said he tried to book Covid-19 tests for his family this morning.
