The Chief Medical Officer has said the spread of Covid-19 is an issue for the whole population. Dr Tony Holohan has appealed to everyone to follow public health guidelines, and that people themselves are the frontline defence against the disease.
Three further deaths were announced yesterday evening and 811 new cases were confirmed. This brings to 1,830 the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland with 44,159 confirmed cases.
