Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan is praying for Captain Tom Moore's speedy recovery after the veteran's daughter confirmed he has contracted Covid-19.

The 100-year-old national treasure has been taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment for pneumonia after contracting coronavirus.

Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan took to social media to share his support for Tom. On his Twitter page, Piers wrote: "Come on, Captain Sir Tom - we’re all rooting for you." Piers also wished Tom a speedy recovery on his Instagram page, writing: "Sending the great man all my prayers for a speedy recovery." Many of Piers' followers have also took to the comment section to share their support for the iconic war veteran.
