Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has revealed his joy as his parents have received the coronavirus vaccine on Saturday 30 January. Good Morning Britain star Piers, 55, said he was “even happier” to report the Covid-19 injection figures as he shared the news on Twitter.

Piers, who recently dropped a huge hint he will run for Prime Minister, wrote: “BREAKING: Another 489,934 covid vaccines were administered in the UK yesterday...the 2nd highest daily total to date.” The outspoken journalist then aded: “Brilliant news...

and I’m even happier that today’s figure will include my parents who got jabbed this morning. Keep up the great work,” before tagging the NHS and the under-secretary for the Covid-19 vaccine deployment, Nadhim Zahawi.
