Hundreds of police, many in riot gear, descended on an east London street in the early hours of Sunday to break up a huge unlicensed music event that went ahead despite coronavirus lockdown.
Photographs from the scene in Detmold Road, Upper Clapton, show dozens of police vans parked up and down the road as officers crack down on those at the event.
The Metropolitan Police had also apologise to resident for the noise of police helicopters over the area. A Tweet posted on Hackney Police's official Twitter page read: "There is a large scale unlicensed music event in a residential street in E5 involving many hundreds of revellers. "The National Police Air Service London and South East are providing aerial support to officers on the ground. "Apo
