Police say two men were injured in a shooting Saturday night in North Philadelphia. NORTH PHILADELPHIA - A man is fighting for his life following a double shooting Saturday night in North Philadelphia, according to police.

Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 3400 block of North Water Street just before 9 p.m. for reports of gunfire.

Officers drove a 47-year-old man to Temple University Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and legs.A 51-year-old shooting victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to the hand, police said.

(Dalton Police Department) DALTON, Ga. - Dalton police have arrested a homeless man accused of attacking a woman who was allowing him to stay in her home.Officials say the stabbing happened Tuesday morning in front of the home on the 500 block of Straight Street in Dalton.According to investigators, the victim had been allowing 27-year-old Shaquae Robinson to say with her but was in the process of throwing him out.When she refused to let him back in the house, witnesses told police Robinson stabbed her in the neck before running away from the scene.Officers arrested Robinson a short time later. Possible charges for him have not been released.The victim, who has not been identified, was transported and then airlifted to a hospital.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - A gut-wrenching scene at Darien Street and Oregon Avenue, in South Philadelphia, where a pickup truck is stopped in the middle of the street, with a mangled bike underneath it.Michael Helmer lives a half block away at 9th and Oregon. That’s where police and witnesses say a young boy was riding his bike when the driver of the truck hit him.Witnesses say the driver got out and took off running.They say a crowd went after him and beat him up before police got to the scene and took him into custody."I came home from work and I seen a bunch of cops and little kids riding bikes and I’m like, ‘What happened?" Helmer explained.A friend of the victim said they were riding bikes with a group of bikers when the victim was hit.

(Photo by David Madison/Getty Images) PHILADELPHIA - A high school football player from Philadelphia has tragically died after officials say he collapsed during team activities on Tuesday. West Catholic Preparatory High School released a statement Wednesday announcing that Ivan Hicks Jr., 16, passed away after he was taken away in an ambulance Tuesday afternoon. The Chester County Coroner's office says Hicks collapsed while taking a water break around 5:45 p.m. and coaching staff and medics attempted to resuscitate him.
