He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

This week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that he will look to ease lockdown measures on Monday, and will be outlining the next steps for doing so in Sunday's press conference.

However, people seem to have jumped the gun a bit on this one, and some, sadly, are already acting like lockdown has been abolished completely.

But with a Bank Holiday hot on our toes, it's now more important than ever to make sure we're following the rules (which haven't yet been relaxed, by the way), and support our NHS by not undoing all of the hard work everybody has already put in.

Britain currently has the highest death rate in Europe, and the second highest death rate in the world after North America when it comes to coronavirus deaths.
