Premier League admits to "no new answers" over season's return in fresh statement

Premier League bosses have been holding talks with the FA and EFL to discuss a possible plan about how to move forward in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

Discussions with the PFA about asking players to take wage cuts are also ongoing and are expected to continue into tomorrow.

In the meantime the PL have released a statement admitting they are no nearer to knowing what will happen in the coming months - and have repeated their plea to supporters to stick to the Government guidelines when it comes to dealing with the pandemic.

The statement said: "COVID-19 has presented a hugely challenging and uncertain time for everyone and our thoughts are with all those directly affected by the pandemic.
