English football will reportedly not return on April 30 with the date set to be put back. The April 30 date had been pencilled in by the FA amid the coronavirus pandemic with the current season allowed to extend past June 1.
However it now appears that Premier League and EFL fans will be waiting until at least May to see their team back in action.
The Daily Mail claim that football officials have accepted that April 30 is not a realistic prospect with players having been unable to train due to a lockdown.
An FA statement released on Thursday announced that Steps 3-7 of the non-league pyramid would see their season ended and deemed null and void.
