The Premier League's bottom three clubs have been urged to back 'Project Restart' - after being railroaded into doing whatever it takes to get the football season finished.
Norwich, Aston Villa and Bournemouth had opposed the idea of resuming games at neutral venues, with one of them even suggesting relegation should be scrapped altogether and the season abandoned.
But the Football Association have lost patience with all the recent infighting and intervened in the crunch talks with the League and all 20 clubs to demand the 2019/20 campaign be concluded to a finish on 'sporting merit'.
Most top flight clubs now oppose the idea of holding games at neutral venues and want to stick with staging the remaining 92 games on a home and away basis.
