President Joe Biden lifts up his shirt sleeve as he receives the COVID-19 booster shot on Monday afternoon (September 27) inside the White House’s South Court Auditorium in Washington, D.C.
The Commander in Chief revealed his plans to get the booster shot just last week and came through with his promise and received it live on television. “Boosters are important, but the most important thing we need to do is get more people vaccinated,” he shared in a speech just prior to receiving his injection. “The vast majority of Americans are doing the right thing.
Over 77% of adults have gotten at least one shot,” Biden added. “About 23% haven’t gotten any shots. And that distinct minority is causing an awful lot of damage for the rest of country.
