Prince William is set to "step up" and lead the Royal Family’s effort to support the nation in a "statesman role", an expert has claimed.
The Duke of Cambridge was the first member of the Royal Family to speak to Britain during the coronavirus crisis, alongside wife Kate Middleton during a visit to a NHS 111 call centre.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Australian website 9Honey the move was a "significant" sign of the times. Ms Nicholl believed the Duke and Duchess are the "best placed" members of the family to be "pillars of support" for the nation during a time of crisis.
The Duke and Duchess became the first royals to visit coronavirus frontline health workers, as they met staff at a London NHS 111 call centre.
