A nationwide round of applause took place at 8pm on Thursday 26 March to thank NHS workers for putting their lives on the line to help tackle the coronavirus outbreak.The campaign, named #ClapForOurCarers, invited everyone to join together on front doorsteps, gardens, out of windows, on balconies or in their living rooms for a countrywide applause, which could be heard all around the UK.

Joining in on the applause were various celebrities, who were quick to share videos and images to social media to show their support for the NHS.
