Brits were left baffled this morning after it emerged that the controversial new quarantine rules mean a Spanish family could enjoy a holiday in the Lake District - whilst a family in the UK could not.
The new rules, which will start on Monday, mean nearly all travellers arriving into the UK must spend 14 days at a single address in quarantine.
The measures have been widely criticised with travel firms and around 20 Tory MPs warning that it will wreak further havoc for air travel.
And now the policy faced further ridicule after Northern Ireland Secretary Brandon Lewis admitted that a family from Spain will be able to visit the Lake District for a holiday.
