PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old dead in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood.  It happened on the 2700 block of A Street just before midnight. Police say responding officers found the victim lying in the road suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. MORE HEADLINES: Multiple shell casings were found on the scene, but no weapon was recovered, and no arrests have been made. Police say they do not have any information about a motive or suspect at this time.

ABGINTON, Pa. - Police in Montgomery County are searching for two men they say attempted to abduct a teenage girl at the Willow Grove Park Mall Wednesday.The incident occurred at the mall on the 2500 block of Moreland Road around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. During the incident, police say a 14-year-old girl was heading down an escalator when she was met at the bottom by an adult male. That man identified himself as ‘Alex’ and asked the teen to walk with him, extending his arm as if to escort her.

The person was treated as a result of "quick actions by numerous crews," they said."Feel like" temperatures in parts of Texas could reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit Thursday as an unseasonal heat wave strikes Texas and parts of the South.When leaving the facility, one of the paramedics from an outside agency also went into cardiac arrest.

Investigators later recovered the vehicle, a Tesla, but they are still looking for the driver and encouraged him to turn himself in.That's when police say the driver suddenly put the car in reverse and dragged the officer approximately 100 feet, then put the car in driver and dragged him another 100 feet forward. The officer was shaken from the vehicle and the driver fled the scene, according to police.

WASHINGTON - A suspect in the fatal shooting of a Kentucky teacher on Catholic University's campus has been arrested, D.C. Police Chief Ashan Benedict told FOX 5 Tuesday.After obtaining an arrest warrant, officers arrested22-year-old Jaime Maceo, of Northwest, D.C. He has been charged with first-degree murder while armed.Chandra Emerson, the mother of the victim, told FOX 5 that police notified her of the arrest.  "It helps to know that he is off the streets and the community is safer," she said.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - A grandfather and his five-year-old grandson were shot inside a car at a gas station in Southwest Philadelphia.The shooting happened near a gas station at the intersection Passyunk Avenue and South 61st Street about 5:45 Saturday evening, according to officials. MOSCOW, Idaho - An Idaho judge denied a request from around two dozen news organizations to lift a gag order in the case of a man accused of stabbing four college students to death.However, the gag order was significantly narrowed in response to the organizations' concerns.The document was filed Friday afternoon in Latah County. District Judge John C. Judge said in – what is formally called a "nondissemination order" – that any "prosecuting attorneys, defense attorneys, any agents of the prosecuting attorneys and defense attorneys and any attorneys representing witnesses, victims or a victim's family are prohibited from making extrajudicial statements (written or oral) that the lawyer or agent knows or reasonable should know will have a substantial likelihood of materially prejudicing or otherwise influence the outcome of the case." Judge said that to preserve the right to a fair trial, some curtailment of the dissemination of information in the case is "necessary and authorized under the law."That said, he also noted that the original gag order, which also barred law enforcement officers and others tangentially related to the case from speaking to the press, was "arguably overbroad and vague in some areas."Judge wrote that the revised order is "narrowly drawn to prohibit only extrajudicial statements that have a ‘substantial likelihood of materially prejudicing’ this case," including specific examples of what speech is prohibited and what is allowed. The judge also denied attorney Shanon Gray's request to be exempted from the amended order.

PHOENIX - Several electric semi trucks caught fire in an industrial area near 40th Street and Broadway early Friday morning, triggering a large response from HAZMAT crews in Phoenix and Tempe."I just heard an explosion, and I came out, the semis were all on fire," said John Frank.The lithium-ion battery fire is burning at the Nikola Corporation building, and officials are calling it difficult and tricky to fight. A thick black smoke and a strong chemical smell could be sensed in the area.The explosion was caught on camera, and according to fire officials, four trucks are on fire.
