The Queen cancelled her birthday celebrations after telling staff “we are all in this together”, royal sources have revealed.
The monarch turns 94 tomorrow, but the occasion will not be marked by traditional gun salutes for the first time of her reign due to the coronavirus crisis.
The Queen said she believed no celebration would not be “appropriate” as the world battled the global pandemic. A royal source said: “The Queen’s directions were very clear, the family should be completely united with the country and those who are feeling the pain of this health crisis. “For the first time in many months, there is one clear direction for all the households, without any distractions and very much that ‘we are all in this together’. “To get back
