The Countess of Wessex has been offering a royal hand to a charity making lunches for frontline NHS staff during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, has been a boost to morale while volunteering at Mealforce every week, organised by millionaire British financier Ian Wace.

Sophie is described as the Queen's 'favourite' royal because she always gets a life in the royal car - mostly because Elizabeth II finds her 'soothing'.

The 55-year-old royal – who is married to The Queen's youngest son, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex – has received glowing reviews for her dedicated work in helping the charity produce an astonishing 59,000 free meals per week for NHS staff.
