Raheem Sterling fires Premier League return warning amid Project Restart plans

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling admits he cannot wait to get back to playing football but has warned that it could take several weeks for players to get up to match sharpness.

No Premier League football has been played since March 9 with all action subsequently postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Officials are hoping to get the action back underway by June 12, with ‘Project Restart’ putting safe plans in place. Like everyone else, Sterling has been in lockdown at home and while he has been given a fitness schedule to follow, he will need to time to get up to speed.
