A remote Amazon tribe has turned to traditional remedies to tackle the coronavirus pandemic as authorities face accusations of failing to handle the pandemic.
The Satere-Mawe indigenous community, who live in the Brazilian rainforest, said they have used natural treatments such as tree bark, honey and native plants to treat Covid-19 symptoms.
Activists for the tribe have accused Brazil's far-right President Bolsonaro of effectively abandoning indigenous communities, many of whom have less immunity to certain diseases because they have lived largely cut off from the outside world.
