Enormous queues have formed at reopened McDonald's drive-thru sites with hungry Brits waiting up to half an hour to get their hands on a burger and fries.
After closing all UK branches on March 23 due to the coronavirus outbreak, the fast food giant has been gradually reopening for delivery with a limited menu and social distancing measures in place.
On Wednesday morning McDonald's announced more outlets would be opening that morning at 11am, including 16 branches in Leicestershire.
Photos taken outside the Fosse Park site showed a queue of about 40 cars by 11:30am, with staff directing drivers through a specially designed route in the car park before they pulled up to the window.
