'Robodog' patrols park to tell people to keep their distance during lockdown

A robot dog enlisted by Singapore authorities to remind citizens of social distancing rules has been met with unease. The Internet swiftly branded the robot 'creepy' as footage emerged of the spindly-legged machine policing the city's parks.

The canine-like robot has been rolled out to help curb coronavirus infections.Footage of the robot captures it politely asking joggers and cyclists to stay apart.

But Twitter users noted how park-users in the footage recoiled from the robot, calling its use 'dystopian', and drawing comparisons to TV series Black Mirror's plotlines.

Others mused whether the robot named 'SPOT' could get a job enforcing the UK lockdown, as Brits despair at scenes of parks heaving with boozy picnics, and neighbourhoods
