Roy Keane has been a vocal critic of Manchester United in recent years. But one thing the former captain cannot be accused of is not caring about his former club.
Whilst often harsh in his assessments, there is no doubt Keane has been as desperate as anyone to see former team-mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer succeed at Old Trafford.
He has often sent public warnings to Solskjaer over issues he sees in the squad, whilst it was revealed by Solskjaer ahead of the new season that the two had met at Keane’s Cheshire home to discuss how to tough up his side.
Last July, Solskjaer revealed: “I’ve already been at his house for a cup of tea. I keep in touch with Roy. For me, he was a fantastic leader.
