Bolton NHS Foundation Trust’s latest finance and investment committee report was presented to board members last week. It stated that in month six of the financial year, from April 1, the trust spent £2.3M on Covid-related items.
The year to date total expenditure amounted to £12.2m. With regard to capital investment, the trust has a capital programme of £7.6m and in addition has received funding for Covid schemes of £6.1m.The Covid schemes relate to £2.6m spent on same-day emergency care in the accident and emergency department.
Critical care has received £2.1m of Covid investment while endoscopy at the hospital had £200,000 spent on it. The report stated that £1.2m was spent on equipment related to coronavirus.
