Italy has accused Russia of sending spies "disguised as coronavirus doctors" in a fierce exchange of words. Unnamed sources in an Italian newspaper claim that 80 per cent of Russia's aid is "useless," reports the Daily Mail.
This comes after Russian president, Vladimir Putin vowed to send help to Italy to help tackle the coronavirus outbreak in a phone call with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
Moscow dispatched aid which included nine aircrafts and over 100 experts, as well as what they claimed were medical supplies such as ventilators and PPE.
Their equipment is emblazoned with the words "From Russia with Love". However, a source alleged that the delivery contained disinfection equipment and a field laboratory for sterilisation
