Saturday's new COVID-19 case count in Ottawa double Friday's number

OTTAWA -- Ontario health officials are reporting 78 new cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa on Saturday, more than twice the figure reported by Ottawa Public Health on Friday.

The new figures in Ottawa come from Ontario's daily epidemiologic summary and may differ from local figures provided by Ottawa Public Health later in the day because of the nature of how cases are recorded at the ministerial level.

Ontario is reporting 1,132 cases of #COVID19. Locally, there are 336 new cases in Toronto, 258 in Peel, 114 in York Region, 78 in Ottawa, 64 in Halton and 55 in Hamilton.
