Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 returned to training on Thursday despite the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. All Premier League clubs remain in isolation, but Schalke have returned to the grass with a view to keeping up social distancing protocols whilst training.
In the video shot at their training ground, players can be seen working on their fitness - they keep separate at a safe distance in their allotted pairs.
The rules set by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia do not allow for training in large groups, so coach David Wagner teamed his players up in doubles to jog and dribble as they look to stay fit and retain their sharpness amidst the coronavirus crisis.
