Scots cop hospitalised after dog attack while breaking up Covid breach party

The dog pounced on the male officer in a Johnstone close as he went to investigate reports of an illegal gathering.The shocking incident, which unfolded in Spateston Road, left the cop with a leg wound requiring treatment at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.It is understood he will continue with his duties and has been placed on a course of antibiotics.Police were called to reports that a number of people were breaching strict Covid-19 restrictions designed to stop the spread of the potentially-deadly virus around 3.25pm on Friday.As they made their way down the close they passed the dog, which a woman was holding on a short leash.
