travelling to the US for months under coronavirus restrictions. Donald Trump ordered a travel ban in March as part of a contingency plan to tackle the coronavirus crisis.
Dr Anthony Fauci, America’s top public health official, said current restrictions preventing UK citizens from entering the US could now last until a vaccine is developed, The Mirror reports.
The infectious disease expert said the lifting of the current ban would be “more likely months than weeks”.“It's going to be really wait and see,” he said.“I don't think there's going to be an immediate pull back for those kinds of restrictions.“My feeling, looking at what's going on with the infection rate, I think it's more likely measured in months rather than weeks.”Dr Fauci said.
