summer holidays abroad after ministers announced the 14-day self-isolation rule will be scrapped for a few hot spots. Originally, those travelling abroad would have to return to the UK and go into quarantine for two weeks.
It now looks like trips to Spain, Germany and France will be given the go ahead following a review on Monday. Instead, countries will fall under a traffic light system. The level of risk in catching coronavirus in a particular country would place it under a red, amber or green category.Only passengers arriving into the UK from nations in the red category, where the spread of coronavirus is deemed to be high, will be told to self-isolate for two weeks.Travellers will, however, still have to hand over the address they plan.
