Sheffield United owner Prince Abdullah could reportedly risk jail if the Blades beat Newcastle after they are taken over by the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Toon owner Mike Ashley is believed to be close to agreeing to sell the club to the Saudi Arabia royal family’s Public Investment Fund, led by Bin Salman.

However, in a letter to MP for Sheffield South East, Clive Betts, it has been claimed that the takeover could spell trouble for the Bramall Lane club.

The episode is the latest between former co-owner at Sheffield United Kevin McCabe, and current chief Prince Abdullah, who runs the club after winning a legal battle in January.
