VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova University has lifted a shelter-in-place after an attempted armed robbery in close proximity to the campus, authorities say.
According to the university, on Tuesday night, just before 11 p.m., the school was notified by Radnor Police of an attempted robbery with a weapon on the 100 commuter train.
The university says they were informed the robbery suspect pulled a gun from his backpack and tried to rob the train conductor.
No one was injured, and the suspect got off the train at the Aldwyn Station near the campus, police say. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe suspect was seen fleeing on foot over the pedestrian bridge, per police.
