A six-month old baby with a heart condition has moved medics to tears by beating coronavirus. "Miracle baby" Erin Bates spent two weeks in an isolation unit after contracting Covid-19.
But the tot, from Bury, has now been wheeled out of her unit - bringing tears and clapping from medical staff. She tested positive for the virus earlier this month and was rushed to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool on Friday, April 10.
During her stay heartbreaking pictures emerged of little Erin hooked up to machines and surrounded by tubes and wires. But on Friday (April 24) staff at the hospital shared an emotional video of her being taken out of isolation, the Liverpool Echo reports.
