The Spanish government has announced it isn't expecting tourism to "get back to normal" until at least the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021.
Spain, like the UK, is in coronavirus lockdown and has reported tens of thousands of Covid-19 deaths in a matter of weeks. Tourism in the country is huge and 18 million Brits are estimated to visit every year.
But the Minister of Labour Yolanda Diaz said the Covid-19 de-escalation period will likely be done in two phases – and the holiday industry will not be prioritised.
