SPFL board has lost a vote that would have granted them executive powers to see Scottish football through a second COVID-19 spike.
A 'yes' vote would have handed control to chief executive Neil Doncaster if it was ever necessary to halt the restart of Scottish football due to an upturn in cases.
The resolution was aimed at avoiding a repeat of the farcical vote to end the season which hinged on a changed vote from Dundee.
That process led to legal action and now an ongoing arbitration process between the league body and relegated sides Hearts and Partick Thistle.
