STRICTLY Come Dancing's Christmas Special is under threat for the first time - because it's "too hard" to film during the pandemic.

The festive edition of the BBC One dancing show has been a highlight of the channel's Christmas Day schedule for years, but the Daily Star claimed this year's will not go ahead.

But Strictly insiders insist the show must go on. "There will be a special this year but it will likely look different to usual," a source told The Sun Online.

It followed reports that celebrities booked for the Christmas Special have now been told they will have to wait until 2021 to take to the dancefloor.
