STRICTLY’S Bruno Tonioli has given his blessing for Cheryl Tweedy to take over his role if it proves impossible for him to judge this year due to Covid-19, we can reveal.
The flamboyant Italian has spent 15 years jetting between his homes in London and LA to appear on the UK show and Dancing with the Stars in the US.
Bruno, 64, has backed singer Cheryl, 36, to take his spot on the BBC1 judging panel this season if coronavirus-imposed travel restrictions mean he is forced to miss his first series.
He said: “If Cheryl does end up doing it there would be nothing wrong with that. She’s a lovely girl. I like her. “Of course she’s not me, but we’re all different.
