Subway’s dedicated Franchise Owners and Sandwich Artists over the past four weeks, have used the fresh produce from their stores to create food for those in the local community most in need, and several Subway stores in hospital locations have remained opened with teams of committed Sandwich Artists providing hospital workers with access to a variety of freshly prepared food.
Along with cookies, pastries and other perishable ingredients, the food from stores which would otherwise have gone to waste, has been used to create platters and delivery boxes totalling over a quarter of a million Subs, for those in the local community most in need of the food.
