Staff at school hubs set-up for the children of keyworkers have reported serious concerns about the impact on their mental health of working through lockdown.
Cleaners, janitors, and caterers are among those to have raised concerns about social distancing, a lack of PPE, and fear of catching Covid-19.
In a survey by the GMB union - which represents non-teaching staff in schools -71% of respondents said the crisis had a negative effect on their mental health, while 55% thought they would not able to leave work to access mental health support if needed.
The trade union has today called on the Scottish Government and local authorities to do more to support the wellbeing of staff who have been working throughout the pandemic at school hubs. One
