Suspected breaches of Covid rules in pubs rises to 198

There have been 13 further suspected breaches of Covid-19 public health regulations in pubs, gardaí have confirmed. The cumulative total of potential non-compliance incidents since Operation Navigation began on 3 July is now 198.

Gardaí have conducted thousands of checks on pubs throughout the country under Operation Navigation. An Garda Síochána said it has continued to find "widespread compliance" with the public health regulations by licensed premises.

In the week from Monday, 31 August to Sunday, 6 September, there were 13 new potential breach incidents reported, bringing the total to 198.
